‘Processes and Controls’ Panel Members Named

AUSTIN — Organizers of Texas Compliance Summit have announced that “Where the Rubber Meets the Road,” a panel discussion led by Brian Crisorio of United Development Systems (UDS), will include experts from the dealership, technology and products space. It will be the third panel of the event, which will be held Nov. 16–17, 2015, at the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel.

“Brian has assembled a panel representing three important facets of regulatory compliance,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Today and F&I and Showroom. “I can’t wait to hear what they have to say.”

Crisorio, who serves as UDS’s vice president of marketing, will be joined by Alessandro Meloni, a finance manager at Transwest Buick GMC Isuzu in Henderson, Colo.; Karen Klees, credit compliance specialist for EFG Companies; and Brian Reed, president and CEO of F&I Express.

“I’m excited to have Al reporting from the front lines and Brian and Karen adding their perspective from the technology and product sides,” Crisorio said. “Our multipronged attack on compliance issues will prove invaluable to the audience.”

The panel is part of the “Easy-to-Implement Processes and Controls” part of the agenda and will begin at 4:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Crisorio to Bring ‘Dealer Beware’ to Texas

AUSTIN, Texas — Randy Crisorio, president and CEO of United Development Systems Inc. (UDS), will deliver the welcome address at the upcoming Texas Compliance Summit, organizers said Wednesday. The event is scheduled for Nov. 16–17, 2015, at the Hilton Austin Airport.

“Anyone who has seen Randy in action will understand why he is the ideal candidate to kick off Compliance Summit,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Today and F&I and Showroom. “He is as dedicated to front-end compliance as he is to dealer development, and he approaches the former with equal parts gravitas and humor.”

Crisorio’s address, “Dealer Beware,” will serve as the starting point for Texas Compliance Summit, which will begin with a reception on the evening of Monday, Nov. 16, and continue with a full slate of featured speakers and panel discussions the next day. Crisorio is expected to discuss the growing influence of regulators on dealer operations and review past actions taken by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state attorneys general.

“As the automotive dealership compliance culture continues to be shaped by regulatory curveballs, it is critically important that our retailers are informed and up to date on this moving landscape,” Crisorio said. “This is the third Compliance Summit, and as it moves across the country, it continues to pick up speed in interest and attendance as retailers need to know where the guardrails are. Those not in the know may well be in dangerous territory and not know it.”

Registration for Texas Compliance Summit is open at the event’s website. Attendees who register on or before Oct. 26 will enjoy a $100 discount. For sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, contact Eric Gesualdo via email hidden; JavaScript is required or at 727-612-8826.

Crisorio Named Compliance Summit Keynote Speaker

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Organizers of the first-ever Compliance Summit have announced that Randy Crisorio, president and CEO of United Development Systems Inc., will deliver the event’s opening keynote address, titled “Dealer Beware.” He is expected to address facts and fines attributable to a few bad actors and, more importantly, how to stay out of the crosshairs of what many believe to be government overreach.

“The history of a few is shading the future for all of us,” Crisorio said.

The event will be held November 10–11, 2014, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Crisorio will take the stage at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, kicking off an afternoon of educational sessions that will continue all day Tuesday.

“As an agent, trainer and product provider, Randy demanded compliance long before it was a trending topic,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Monthly and F&I and Showroom. “He is the ideal keynote speaker for this important event.”

Compliance Summit is a series of four regional events. November’s conference will be followed by events in the Midwest, South and West in 2015. The events are expected to draw dealers as well as senior staff, sales and F&I personnel, compliance officers, general agents and more.
